For foodies across the Grand Strand, 2025 brought dozens of exciting new dining options.

From hole-in-the-wall spots, to fine dining establishments, the new restaurants offer a wide range of options.

Here are nearly 50 new restaurants to try around Carolina Forest, Conway, Little River, Murrells Inlet, Myrtle Beach, North Myrtle Beach, Pawleys Island and Surfside Beach that opened last year.

Arriv Indian Cuisine

In February, a new eatery brought Indian specialties to North Myrtle Beach at 3711 Highway 17 S. Arriv Indian Cuisine serves classics like Mulligatawny soup, samosa, kababs and tandoori chicken, as well as fusion foods like paneer tacos.

Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii

A Hawaii-based coffee shop brought island-inspired drinks to Surfside Beach with its first South Carolina location last summer. With over 30 locations across the country, Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii is known for its Kona blend coffee and Mana energy drinks.

Beach Hippie Coffee

Popular Myrtle Beach cafe Beach Hippie Coffee expanded with a second location off Kings Highway last year. Known for its signature flavors and colorful, hippie-inspired atmosphere, Beach Hippie offers unique coffees like the dream brulee and salty waves lattes.

Bistro B

Myrtle Beach area eatery Bistro B opened last spring with specialty drinks, sushi, steak and more at 1803 N. Kings Highway. In addition to dishes and drinks, Bistro B has its own pickleball courts which sporty patrons can reserve.

Bowled

New York-based franchise Bowled opened its third Grand Strand location in Barefoot Landing in 2025. The healthy lunch spot lets customers choose a variety of different vegetables, proteins and grains to create their own bowl.

Biggby Coffee

Drive-through cafe chain Biggby Coffee opened its first Grand Strand location in Aynor last year. Biggby Coffee, which is set to open another location in Conway, offers coffees, energy drinks, sandwiches and pastries.

Braza Chicken

A South American chicken restaurant out of Columbia, South Carolina, opened its second location last year in Myrtle Beach. Braza Chicken specializes in signature rotisserie Peruvian chicken marinated for 48 hours in a blend of spices, but also serves items like empanadas, burritos and more.

Buffalo Wild Wings

After Walk-On’s Sports Bistreaux at 101 N. Strand Parkway in Myrtle Beach closed in 2024, a new Buffalo Wild Wings restaurant opened in its place in 2025. The third Grand Strand location welcomed diners with its famed wings and more than 70 televisions last January.

Burger Social

The owners of Jem Social opened a new smashburger restaurant with a full bar in the former Eggs Up Grill in North Myrtle Beach. Burger Social’s a la carte menu is designed to let customers pick from nine kinds of buns and 14 types of fries.

Chef Laura’s Seafood, Steak and Hibachi

In the former Big E’s Country Buffet and Seafood location, a new Asian-inspired restaurant opened in Longs. Owner Laura Smith, who also owns Indo Asian Bistro and Sushi Bar in Socastee, serves southern food, like steak sandwiches and fried chicken, as well as hibachi at the new Chef Laura’s Seafood, Steak and Hibachi.

Chipotle

A new Myrtle Beach Chipotle restaurant featuring a drive-thru lane opened at 8006 N. Kings Highway in Grande Dunes last spring. The fast casual Mexican chain is known for its customizable burritos, bowls and more.

The Chuck Wagon

Local favorite Chuck Wagon expanded into a second location last year at the Coastal Grand Mall food court. The eatery is known for its craft burgers, spuds and more.

Conner’s Porch Swing

Over the summer, Conner’s Porch Swing opened at 7050 SC 90 in Longs. The eatery offers a variety of menu items, including burgers, sandwiches, chef-favorite Craic chicken and rotating specials.

Cows and Creamery

A new ice cream shop in Conway filled the former Ward’s Produce location at 5105 W. US 501. Owner Allison Smith, who also owns Kosta bowls and the original Cows and Creamery location in Aynor, brought signature hand-scooped ice cream flavors like Jacked Up Tennessee Toffee and Michigan Pot Hole to the new location in Conway last year.

Don’s Deli and Bakery

A new spot near Coastal Carolina University offering pastries, sweets and hot and cold sandwiches opened at 201 Graduate Road last year. Don’s Deli and Bakery menu highlights include gyros, kaiser rolls, cannolis and more.

First Watch

Popular national breakfast chain First Watch debuted a Grand Strand location at the Tanger Outlets off of US 501. With roughly 600 restaurants around the country, First Watch is known for breakfast favorites like omelets, French toast and burritos.

Gator Zone Sports Bar & Grille

A new alligator-themed restaurant and bar opened at 3453 Highway 17 Business in Murrells Inlet last year. Gator Zone Sports Bar & Grille features more than 30 televisions, over 20 draft beers and pub favorites like.

Genova’s Pizza

New York pizza chain opened its first South Carolina location in Myrtle Beach last fall. Founded in New York more than 30 years ago, Genova’s Pizza menu offers signature pizzas, pasta, salad and more.

Grandpa Moustache’s Cheesecakes

Retired New York City Police Sergeant Peter Brown, dubbed Grandpa Moustache by his grandchildren, opened the titular bakery in North Myrtle Beach in February. Located at 3326 Highway 17 S., Grandpa Moustache’s offers cheesecake flavors like original, chocolate and key lime.

Griffin’s Public House

When a new bar and restaurant opened in the former Borgata of Surfside location, it brought a new menu but kept the building’s iconic Surfside Beach mural. Griffin’s Public House offers guests sandwiches, burgers and more.

Honey Barrel

A new North Myrtle Beach restaurant opened at 228 Highway 17 N. last year. Honey Barrel offers a wide variety of menu items including breakfast classics, burgers, steaks and more.

Honey Bees

Owner Artur Petrosyan, who also operates Captain Benjamin’s Calabash Seafood with partners, opened a new breakfast and lunch spot at 109 S. Kings Highway last summer. Honey Bees offers breakfast options like skillets and waffles, as well as lunch options like sandwiches and burgers.

Lad’s Sports Bar and Grill

Last January, a new Irish sports bar opened near Myrtle Beach State Park at 4735 S. Kings Highway. Lad’s Sports Bar and Grill serves Guinness, local brews and Irish favorites like shepherd’s pie and bangers and mash. Patrons can also check out activities like darts and trivia.

Lemongrass

Sak Yiengjuntuek, owner of Thai Season and Thai Bistro, opened a third restaurant serving Chinese, Thai and Vietnamese food at the former Saigon Cafe 1943 Mr. Joe White Ave. Lemongrass menu favorites include Vietnamese recipes inherited from Saigon Cafe, pad Thai and General Tso’s chicken.

The Lotus Den Tapas & Libations

A new mythology-inspired spot named for an island in “The Odyssey,” opened at 5900 N. Kings Highway in Myrtle Beach over the summer. The Lotus Den offers a variety of tapas, signature drinks and late-night dishes.

McEisley’s Tavern

A new Irish-inspired bar opened in 2025 with “delicious eats” and “shamrock beats.” Located in the former Seaside Market General Store off of Highway 17 in Murrells Inlet, McEisley’s offers food, drinks and dueling pianos.

Ocean Breeze Cafe

This spring a new restaurant and coffee shop opened at 9619 Shore Drive just outside Myrtle Beach. Ocean Breeze Cafe serves coffees, smoothies, pizza, sandwiches and more near Apache Pier.

Palm 33

After a Murrells Inlet pet shop closed, a new pet-friendly restaurant took its place at 4494 US 17 Business. Palm 33 serves up seafood and steaks cooked over charcoal flames in a relaxed atmosphere.

Palmetto Pointe Pizza

A new pizzeria replaced the former Gemma’s Cafe at 3711 Palmetto Point Blvd. in the Socastee area. Palmetto Pointe Pizza started serving pizza by the slice and sub sandwiches in February.

Parlor Doughnuts

A popular Indiana-based craft doughnut shop chain known for unique flavors and layered doughnuts opened a second Grand Strand location when it expanded into North Myrtle Beach. Parlor Doughnuts specialties include keto, gluten friendly, vegan and even dog doughnuts.

Pawleys Fish Camp

After working in restaurants across the East Coast, Georgetown native Brandon Wallace opened Pawleys Fish Camp at 10744 Ocean Highway in the former Tuscany Bistro location last January. The seafood spot serves Lowcountry favorites with a full bar and outdoor patio.

Pierogi House

In the former Capriotti’s Market Common location, a new restaurant dedicated to European dumplings opened at 1390 Farrow Parkway. Pierogi House offers a variety of pierogi fillings, savory dishes and a market featuring specialty foods and European imports.

PrimoHoagies

Philadelphia-based sandwich chain PrimoHoagies opened its third South Carolina location in Myrtle Beach last year. The PrimoHoagies restaurant near Coastal Grand Mall offers the chain’s variety of sub-style sandwiches, including the chicken parmigiana, turkey diablo and more.

Salt & Lime

In April, a new coastal Latin restaurant opened in the North Shore Oceanfront Hotel at 201 75th Ave. N. Like the name suggests, Salt & Lime offers specialty margaritas and cocktails, as well as a variety of seafood and Latin-inspired dishes.

Salt & Honey Grill

The owners of Donald’s Pancake House opened a new, more “chic” eatery at 2800 N. Kings Highway in 2025. Salt & Honey Grill offers omelets, sandwiches and more in a space decorated with apian-inspired decor.

Santorini Greek Kuzina

Inspired by its island namesake, Santorini Greek Kuzina offers Mediterranean favorites in the Grande Dunes area at 7223 N. Kings Highway. Married couple Lav and Kristina Hysa, who also own Zardin Healthy Eatery, import ingredients like olive oil and feta from their native Greece for Santorini’s dishes.

Seabrisa’s at the Marina

After Snooky’s on the Water closed, a Little River waterfront seafood restaurant expanded into the former space for a second Grand Strand location. Seabrisa’s at the Marina at 4495 Baker St. took items from the existing menu and added new dishes like steamed seafood.

SeaSide SunRise Cafe

A new restaurant within walking distance from the beach took the place of the former A to Z Chillin-N-Grillin building last spring. Head chef Danny Egnezzo, who worked as the head chef at the Masters Tournament in Augusta, Georgia, for the past 25 years, brought a menu of ice cream, smoothie bowls, burgers and more to SeaSide SunRise Cafe.

Sergio’s Pizza

New York-based chain Sergio’s Pizza opened a new Carolina Forest location in February. In addition to New York-style thin crust and thick Sicilian-style pizza, Sergio’s offers calzones, pastas, salad and sandwiches.

Simply Greek

Andreas Hartas, who operates Famous Andy’s Pizzeria, opened a second Grand Strand restaurant at 710 Highway 17 S. in North Myrtle Beach in January. Simply Greek offers traditional dishes like spanakopita, gyros, flatbread pizzas and baklava.

Soho

Two new Grand Strand Soho restaurants — one in North Myrtle Beach and one in Carolina Forest — opened in 2025. The steak, seafood and sushi spots boast a “cosmopolitan atmosphere and universal cuisine.”

Tandoori Tavern

After The Tavern in Surfside closed in 2024, it was replaced by Tandoori Tavern last year. Located at 8739 US Highway 17 Bypass South, the restaurant combines American tavern dishes and Tandoori Indian food.

Thai Fusion

A new Thai restaurant in Murrells Inlet took over the former New York Diner space. Thai Fusion serves classics like pad Thai and tom kha soup, as well as unique menu items like catfish pad prik king.

The Whistling Duck

The highly anticipated Surfside Pier waterfront restaurant finally opened its doors to customers last fall. The Whistling Duck serves locally sourced charcuterie boards, appetizers, wine and more with coastal views.

Winna’s Kitchen

At the site of the former Le Manna Bread in the heart of Myrtle Beach’s Arts and Innovation District at 507 Ninth Ave. N., Winna’s Kitchen opened a new location with baked goods and globally inspired comfort dishes. Signature menu items include the cast iron omelet, house potatoes and shrimp and grits.

Zesty Authentic Greek Cuisine

Last spring, a “consistently authentic Greek” restaurant took the space of the former Pittsburgh Pizza Pub at 730 Highway 17 South in North Myrtle Beach. Zesty Authentic Greek Cuisine features favorites like pastitsio, moussaka and more.
