At 2:23 a.m. on Thursday, the NWS Greenville-Spartanburg SC released a heat advisory valid between noon and 8 p.m. The advisory is for Greater Oconee and Greater Pickens as well as Cherokee, York, Anderson, Abbeville, Laurens, Union, Chester, Greenwood, Greenville and Spartanburg counties.
