Long-time Myrtle Beach pancake house owners will open brunch spot. Here’s where

A longtime breakfast restaurant is opening a new brunch restaurant just down the street.

Donald Asllanaj and his family are known for Donald’s Pancake House at 2600 N Kings Highway. Their new venture, Salt and Honey Grill at 2800 N Kings Highway will open at the end of May, Asllanaj said.

The Asllanaj family brings 25 years of experience to Salt and Honey to offer a distinct breakfast experience from Donald’s Pancake House.

Salt and Honey will offer a more “chic” experience than the more family-oriented pancake house, Donald Asllanaj said.

“This will be more trendy and modern,” Asllanaj said. “We’ll have new creative dishes, and some traditional dishes with a twist on them.”

Salt and Honey’s menu serves omelets, eggs benedicts, sandwiches, and burgers.

The space features custom murals of bees by local artist Dorina Fraser, along with honeycomb-shaped light fixtures hanging from a high wooden ceiling above granite countertops.

“There’s nothing like this,” Asllanaj said. “We’re bringing something new and giving locals a new reason to leave the house.”
