Local comfort food restaurant to open 2nd location in Myrtle Beach. Here’s where

A local family-owned restaurant serving up comforting southern classics will expand to a second location in the Coastal Grand Mall.

The Chuck Wagon restaurant has one Carolina Forest location at 4012 Postal Way that sells craft burgers, mac-and-cheese, peach cobbler and more. The second location will open Aug. 5 in the Coastal Grand Mall, owner Chris Nakis said.

No new menu changes will come to the second location, Nakis said. He and his kids run Mulberry Street NY Pizzeria in Murrells Inlet at 3120 U.S. 17 Business and split time between their pizza restaurant and Chuck Wagon.

Nakis said his family will soon have their hands full with the added location, in addition to plans to add more locations in Surfside Beach and North Myrtle Beach in 2026.

“It’s hard to split one restaurant with three children,” Nakis said. “But they’re all getting involved with them. We’re doing so well here, we figured we could expand it and let all the kids get in on it.”
