A restaurant is opening before spring break in the South Strand. Where is it going?
It looks like a new restaurant will be opening just in time for spring break in the South Strand.
In a locals Facebook group, someone posted a photo of the old Tavern in Surfside with new signage and a note saying the new Tandoori Tavern will be opening up next month.
The Tavern in Surfside previously closed on Sept. 30, 2024 for renovations, their website says. Google Maps still marks the restaurant as temporarily closed.
A call to their listed phone number was unable to be completed on Friday morning.
The new spot will be located at the same location as the former sports bar at 8739 US Highway 17 Bypass South in Surfside Beach, SC.
Full and part-time kitchen staff positions are listed on the online job platform Indeed for Tandoori Tavern.
