New signs for a Pierogi House were put up where the old Capriotti’s on Farrow Parkway in Market Common used to be.

On Wednesday morning, no people were inside the future restaurant. A permit from the City of Myrtle Beach’s Planning and Zoning Department was taped to the front of the new restaurant, allowing for the new Pierogi House sign to be put up.

Based on the name, it appears that the new Myrtle Beach spot will serve pierogis, which are boiled dumplings that are often filled with potatoes, cheese, sauerkraut or meat.

It’s unclear when precisely the new place will open up.

Last summer, Capriotti’s closed their doors at the same location after less than a year in business.
