New brunch spot opens, increasing Myrtle Beach’s breakfast restaurant scene
Myrtle Beach has a new restaurant that will be serving up breakfast and lunch.
Honey Bees, 109 S. Kings Highway, opened its doors on July 31 and is the second restaurant for owner Artur Petrosyan.
Petrosyan decided to open the brunch restaurant in the city, recognizing the Myrtle Beach area’s love for breakfast and brunch establishments.
The restaurant’s breakfast menu is large, including such typical morning foods as omelettes, waffles and skillets, as well as Southern takes on shrimp and grits and fried green tomatoes.
For the lunch menu, there are are unique items such as Cajun fried gator bites, as well as sandwiches, burgers, salads and seafood.
The idea for the name Honey Bees was a tie-in to breakfast, as people “love honey in the morning,” he said. Also, “honey bees work hard,” Petrosyan said.
Petrosyan also operates with partners Captain Benjamin’s Calabash Seafood, 401 S. Kings Highway in Myrtle Beach.
