First Watch opening in the Myrtle Beach, SC area. Here’s where to find it

A national breakfast chain is planning to open in the former Ruby Tuesday at the Tanger Outlets near U.S. 501.

The building on the corner of the lot is in the process of being turned into a First Watch, an employee on the scene said. Construction should take about four months and the breakfast place is expected to open by the end of the year.

The Sun News contacted First Watch with a request for comment but did not hear back before publication.

It appears the Ruby Tuesday building, 4632 Factory Stores Blvd., has been closed for several years, according to Google Earth images that show the building empty in 2022.

First Watch has almost 600 restaurants across the United States, according to the company. The closest locations to Myrtle Beach are in Wilmington and the Charleston area.

The breakfast and lunch spot is open in the mornings and closes during the mid-afternoon. First Watch has classics like omelets and sandwiches but also experiments with seasonal items like the elote breakfast burrito and the strawberry tres leches French toast.

It also has an extensive drink menu featuring fresh juices, fancy coffees and cocktails.
