New location coming soon from popular Myrtle Beach coffee shop. What we know
A popular Myrtle Beach coffee shop has plans to expand services this fall with a brand new Kings Highway location.
Beach Hippie Coffee, known for its colorful atmosphere, unique coffee flavors and variety of options, is looking to soft open a new location at 2700 N. Kings Hwy this month, according to a social media post by the coffee shop. The shop’s location on the other side of the highway at 5311 N. Kings Hwy, plus its neighboring Groovy Goods apparel and decor store will remain in operation, the post says.
Beach Hippie Coffee did not immediately respond to a request for comment on Sunday.
Since opening about three years ago, Beach Hippie Coffee quickly grew in popularity thanks to its freshly roasted coffee in flavors inspired by treats like bananas foster and Dubai chocolate, as well as its hippie-inspired, Instagram-worthy interior — just a few blocks inland from the beach. The coffee shop has more than 1,000 Google reviews and a 4.9 out of five-star rating.
Just a few steps from its original location is a Beach Hippie roasting studio. Patrons can also take their coffee and bagels on a stroll across the parking lot to Groovy Goods, where the Beach Hippie style is exemplified with a curated selection of clothes, scents, accessories and more.
With the opening of its new location, Beach Hippie’s influence will straddle Kings Highway, offering a caffeine-fueled pit stop no matter which direction travelers are going.
The coffee shop started holding “hippie auditions” in August to scout out staff members to bring the new location to life, according to online posts by the shop.
No information about an official opening date has been made available for the new location.
