Last year, Gov. Roy Cooper signed House Bill 951, mandating cuts in carbon emissions from North Carolina’s electricity generation. That means a shift from most of the remaining coal in North Carolina, and likely some natural gas, as well, as part of an effort to prevent the worst effects of climate change.
North Carolina already has some solar, and the state has the most potential offshore wind energy on the Atlantic Coast. But where would you like to see your electricity come from?
