With so many Myrtle Beach area hotels going on the market in 2024 and 2025, emerging trends indicate broader trends in the hospitality industry.

Consumer demands for their vacation experience have changed, impacting independent properties built decades ago. These hotels and motels might struggle to keep up with rising costs throughout the industry. They could serve as an example of prime land for re-development since many occupy a prized oceanfront property.

Yet, these properties throughout the Myrtle Beach area could fetch the highest price of all the hotels for sale. The Sun News used listings on the real estate for sale website Crexi for this story. Here’s the list:

How much will buying a branded hotel on the Intracoastal Waterway in Myrtle Beach cost? Tens of millions

Built in 1984, the 150-room Four Points by Sheraton Myrtle Beach is the most expensive hotel for sale in the Myrtle Beach area in March 2025. At 101 Fantasy Harbour Blvd., the property went on Crexi in March 2024, and it now has a $23 million asking price.

David Greenberg is one of the real estate agents representing the property, but he did not return a request for comment before publication. It’s been nearly a decade since the hotel last went on the market.

Horry County Land Records show that the Four Points sold in December 2021 for $5.5 million.

The two buildings, 5th & Ocean at 507 and 509 North Ocean Blvd. in Myrtle Beach, first went on the market in October 2024 and have yet to sell.

With an asking price of $5.8 million, the hotel has 63 rooms. According to its Crexi listing, the hotel received a renovation in 2023-24. Built in 1968, the two buildings each have sold in recent years.

Horry County Land Records shows that the 507 North Ocean Blvd. building sold in 2022 for less than $2 million, while the 509 North Ocean Blvd. sold for less than $1.1 million in 2022.

Built in the 1980s, this oceanfront Myrtle Beach hotel is for sale. What is the asking price?

With 42 rooms, a hotel built at 1901 South Ocean Blvd next to the beach is for sale. With an asking price of $4.9 million, the property is the fifth most expensive hotel on the real estate market in the Myrtle Beach area.

The hotel first went on the market in March 2024 but has sold within the last five years. Horry County Land Records show that the hotel’s current owners bought it for $3.4 million in 2021.
