After several hotels went up for sale in the Myrtle Beach area in 2024, more are on the market in 2025.

North Myrtle Beach’s Comfort Inn is for sale on the real estate website Crexi. The hotel has an asking price of $7.8 million and went on Crexi in February 2025.

According to the listing, the 79-room hotel was renovated in 2017, the last time the hotel sold. Horry County Land Records show the current owners purchased the hotel for about $4.6 million in 2017. The hotel also sold in 2016 for $2.4 million.

Taj Patel is the real estate professional representing the hotel, but he did not return a request for comment before publication. Located at 3801 Highway 17 South, the hotel is a short drive from Barefoot Landing.

This isn’t the first hotel on the Grand Strand to hit the market. Numerous hotels in the Myrtle Beach area went on sale in 2024. Most of the hotels for sale opened during the middle of the 20th century were motel-style in construction and were independently run. Experts said industry-wide pressures and other factors could have contributed to the recent surge.

For comparison, the Myrtle Beach area had more hotels for sale on the real estate platform LoopNet in February 2025 than Charleston, SC, but lagged behind the popular vacation destination Miami, Fla.
