4th teen charged in Myrtle Beach shooting after school resource officer helps ID him
A fourth teenager has been arrested almost two weeks after a Myrtle Beach shooting that left two people injured.
Christopher Antonio Robero, 18, was charged on Thursday with two counts of attempted murder. He is being held at the J. Reuben Long Detention Center on a $1 million bond.
Myrtle Beach Police officers responded to the shooting at 1011 Osceola St. just after 4:30 p.m. on May 31. No victims were initially found at the scene, but investigators later learned that two people arrived at a local hospital with gunshot wounds, The Sun News previously reported.
Officers then discovered video at the location that allegedly showed Robero, according to a report. The images were shown to “another involved person” who told officers that Robero attended Myrtle Beach High School. A school resource officer confirmed Robero’s identity to Myrtle Beach Police.
Robero is now the fourth person who has been arrested in connection to the shooting. Romeo Elpers, 17 and Ian Monroe, 18, were both charged with two counts of attempted murder a few days after the shooting. Monroe was also charged with possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
Myrtle Beach Police did not name the third person due to him being a juvenile.
