One shot in the leg in Conway area shooting, Horry County police investigating
One person was shot in the leg in a Conway area home and Horry County police are investigating.
The shooting happened on Sunday on Blain Lane, which is off U.S. Highway 378. Police went to the home for a report of a person shot in the leg.
While officers were on the way, they were told a witness took the victim to the hospital, according to a police report. At the house, officers spoke to another witness who said she woke up and the victim came into her room saying he was shot and needed to go to the hospital.
Horry County police started a crime scene investigation and searched for any evidence, according to the report.
There have been no arrests in the attempted murder case and police did not release any suspect information.
The shooting is the latest in a string of gun-violence in Myrtle Beach and Horry County to start 2020. Horry County police arrested a man for homicide in the Freemont area and say he shot two people, killing one. Myrtle Beach police investigated a shooting off Mr. Joe White Avenue that injured one on Jan. 4.
On Jan. 6, Myrtle Beach police responded to a Ragin Street resident after a bullet went into a home and through two bedroom doors, according to a police report. Nobody was hurt in that shooting.
