One person taken to hospital with serious injuries after shooting in Myrtle Beach

One person went to the hospital with serious injuries after a shooting in Myrtle Beach.

Police responded to the area near Orange Street and Crimson Street around 7 p.m. for the reported shooting. A victim was taken to the hospital with serious injuries from a gunshot wound, according to Cpl. Thomas Vest.

No other injuries were reported, Vest said.

Officers have not released any suspect information and Myrtle Beach police were still on scene Saturday evening. Anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact the department at 843-918-1300.
