Here’s when the new Dick’s Sporting Goods-Golf Galaxy complex will open in Myrtle Beach
A new, dual-sporting goods complex is on the verge of opening at Coastal Grand Mall.
Dick’s Sporting Goods’ new building, accompanied by a new Golf Galaxy store, is set to open Friday, Coastal Grand Mall announced on Facebook on Sunday.
“DICK’S Sporting Goods and Golf Galaxy are [having a] grand opening at Coastal Grand this Friday, September 18 – Sunday, September 20. Plans for the additions were first proposed in March 2019 and announced by mall owner CBL Properties, based in Chattanooga, Tennessee in December 2019. According to CBL, a new trampoline park will eventually take over the old Dick’s Sporting Goods building.
Dick’s Sporting Goods offers anything from apparel to fishing and hunting supplies, while Golf Galaxy offers a bevy of golf supplies, sells pre-owned clubs, offers club trade-ins, lessons and computer video swing analysis, and has on-staff PGA and LPGA professionals to answer questions about equipment and club fitting.
The stores have been hiring. The retailer expected to hire approximately five full time and 30 temporary positions for Dick’s and five full time and 25 part-time positions for Golf Galaxy. Visit the Dick’s website for more information.
