MBPD: Suspect known as “Demon” chokes victim in reported armed robbery, police investigating
A man known as “Demon” allegedly forced his way into a female family member’s home and choked her as he held a gun to her head and demanded to know where her things were located, according to a Myrtle Beach police report.
Officers were called about 8:30 p.m. Wednesday to an apartment on the 200 block of Cedar Street where a 37-year-old woman reported the incident, authorities said.
The victim told police that the suspect known as “Demon” is a distant family member. She said he knocked on her door then forced his way inside and began choking her and holding a gun to her head while demanding to know where “stuff” and a gun were located, according to the report.
The victim said the suspect then opened the door and let another man inside. She lost consciousness from being choked and said the suspects were gone when she woke up, police said.
Nothing was listed as taken from the victim in the report; authorities noted the investigation is ongoing and labeled the incident as an armed robbery.
