Myrtle Beach woman charged with filing falsified W-2 forms
A Myrtle Beach woman was arrested in connection with tax evasion after allegedly filing fraudulent W-2 forms.
Pamela Kaye Lane, 46, is charged with six counts of tax/evasion of a tax property assessment or payment, according to J. Reuben Long Detention Center records.
She was arrested Tuesday morning by South Carolina Department of Revenue investigators.
Lane filed fraudulent W-2 forms with her South Carolina individual income tax returns for 2009 through 2014 and inflated her total withholdings by more than $14,500, authorities said.
Lane is facing up to five years in prison and/or a $10,000 fine per count, according to officials.
Lane is awaiting a bond hearing at the J. Reuben Long Detention Center.
