A Myrtle Beach businessman who was shot in a Publix parking lot last month has been arrested for his alleged involvement in a fight that took place before the shooting.

Andrew Langway, 45, was arrested Wednesday by Myrtle Beach Police for third-degree assault and battery.

Langway is a partner and broker of Keystone Commercial and Realty. He also sits on the finance and economic board of advisors for Coastal Carolina University.

Langway is accused of following the victim to the parking lot after a road rage incident and then engaged in a physical altercation before the shooting took place, according to an arrest warrant. Witnesses told police that Langway grabbed the person and held him up against the passenger side of his van, the report said.

The shooting happened at 5:38 p.m. April 3, 2026, in the parking lot at 7925 North Kings Highway.

Langway apparently tried distancing himself from the altercation when Kevin Lamar Mccoy, 34, of Autryville, North Carolina, allegedly fired multiple rounds from a shotgun from inside the vehicle, striking Langway, police said.

Mccoy was charged with aggravated assault and battery, possession of a weapon during a violent crime and unlawful possession of a firearm.

Langway was transported to a local hospital for his injuries, police said.
