An Ohio woman faces a slew of charges, including nine counts of hit and run and six counts of unlawful conduct toward a child after she allegedly fled from Myrtle Beach Police Saturday evening.

Danielle Lanae Custard, 34, of Cincinnati, was arrested after leading police on a chase through downtown Myrtle Beach, hitting multiple vehicles before ultimately crashing in the 900 block of Kings Highway, according to a Myrtle Beach Police Facebook post. One of the impacted vehicles then crashed into the building of Mammy’s Kitchen, 1010 N. Kings Highway, causing damage.

The incident happened after Myrtle Beach Police officers initiated a traffic stop about 4:26 p.m. on a vehicle for reckless driving near the 1100 block of North Ocean Boulevard, the post said.

After crashing, Custard, the driver of the vehicle, attempted to flee on foot but was quickly taken into custody, the post said.

Three individuals were transported to local hospitals with minor injuries.

In addition to the hit and run and unlawful conduct charges, Custard also faces charges of failure to stop for blue lights, reckless driving, unlawful passing and failure to give a proper turn signal, according to a text from Myrtle Beach Police spokesperson Randolph Angotti. Custard also has an outstanding fugitive from justice warrant, Angotti said.
