The signs are up. Here’s when Guy Fieri’s Flavortown is opening in Myrtle Beach area

The signs have been placed on the building and the opening date for Guy Fieri’s new restaurant in the Myrtle Beach area is getting closer.

It’s been more than a year since it was announced that the well-known TV food show host would open a second location of his Downtown Flavortown at the Myrtle Beach Mall.

Now, officials have confirmed that the restaurant is slated to open in June.

An exact date has not been released, but officials hope to announce it soon, according to an email from Kim Dettwiller Burton with FACE Amusement Group.

The 50,000-square-foot restaurant located near Briarcliffe Acres at 10177 North Kings Highway will feature food, a tiki bar, bowling alley and arcade games. It will be similar to its sister location in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, which opened in 2022.

Guy Fieri and Downtown Flavortown

The Downtown Flavortown restaurant project was first announced in October 2024.

Demolition on the former JC Penney site started in early 2025, followed by work on the actual restaurant.

Fieri, known for his punky blond hair, first rose to fame with his Food Network show “Dinners, Drive-Ins and Dives,” where he travels across the United States exploring new places with incredible food. He also hosts a cooking competition show on Food Network called “Guy’s Grocery Games.”

The name is based on Fieri’s “Flavortown” catchphrase, which has been turned into his personal brand that includes cookware, delivery-only restaurants and books.

“‘Flavortown’ was this mythical place (I’d go) every time I’d try something really great,” he confirmed on the “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” on Feb. 27, 2026. “The first time, I think, it started is I had this gigantic pizza … I held (the pizza pan) and said, ‘Look at this thing! It’s like the steering wheel on the bus going to Flavortown.’ That’s all I said!”
