Pickleheads have a new indoor pickleball court to try out along Grand Strand
A new indoor pickleball court has opened, joining several businesses that have plans to open a similar facility along the Grand Strand.
Pin Point Myrtle Beach, 304 Highway 90 East in Little River, opened on March 4 and offers nine pickleball courts and seven golf simulators.
It is among three companies that have or are opening such indoor pickleball facilities along the Grand Strand, attempting to meet the demand of the sport that has exploded in popularity over the last several years.
This is Pin Point’s second location, having a similar facility in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Those wanting to play can reserve courts or purchase a membership.
In addition to its courts and simulators, Pin Point also has a full-service bar and restaurant.
Dink District, located at 200 Ronald McNair Blvd. in Carolina Forest in the Myrtle Beach area, is expected to open this year and feature 14 pro-grade courts in a climate controlled 40,000-square-foot facility. Another business The PicklePort, located on 6 acres near Whispering Pines Golf Course at 900 Harrelson Blvd., will have 12 indoor pickleball courts and about six covered outdoor courts.
