It has long been a question on social media about what is opening in a former arcade eatery in Murrells Inlet after construction work began at the property.

Now, it has been revealed that Zeytin, a breakfast-lunch restaurant in the Myrtle Beach area that offers a Mediterranean take on its food, will open a second location in the now-closed Player 1UP.

Zeytin’s website has that the Murrells Inlet location at 3264 U.S. 17 Business will open soon. The original location is at 224 Fresh Drive Unit A in Carolina Forest.

A person answering the phone at the Carolina Forest restaurant never came back on the line after a request was made to speak to someone about the new location.

Player 1UP closed in March 2025, after opening in 2022. The building is at the entrance of the Inlet Square Mall, which is undergoing renovations for new development after being unoccupied for years. The project is expected to bring retail and business back to the site by converting the indoor facility into a more spacious shopping area.
