The lunch options at the ONEflight Myrtle Beach Classic PGA Tournament have changed this year.

For the first time in the tournament’s history, there are now savory food trucks offering lunch to golf fans and patrons. The trucks are scheduled to be at the tournament through the last day on Sunday.

Tournament director Darren Nelson said that decision to have food trucks came after the large crowds they had last year.

“We wanted to make sure that we could accommodate the fans and make sure there’s not long wait lines for all the food outlets,” he said. “Just to give fans different options.”

The trucks are local to the Myrtle Beach area, and are Benitos Rolling Oven, Campbell Catering Company and EZ Cheezy. They can be found in the Publix Fan Zone near holes 18, 17 and 1.

“We’re expecting big crowds,” Tyler Hydeck from Benitos said on Thursday morning before the lunch rush had started.

Hydeck said they’ll be offering slices of wood-fired cheese and pepperoni pizza for $5 each.

EZ Cheezy owner Shannon Garrow said this is her first year at the tournament. She said they’ll be serving about half of their regular menu.

Items on the tournament menu for EZ Cheezy include a buffalo chicken melt with ranch and cheddar cheese for $12, an avocado grilled cheese with pepperjack cheese for $9, a turkey melt with crumbled bacon for $12 and a pesto grilled cheese with mozzarella and tomato for $12. Garrow’s truck also has the option for add-ons to any sandwich, including bacon, grilled onion, tomato, jalapenos or gucamole for an extra $2.

Their menu options for the tournament included a Crab Cake Sandwich with coleslaw and Old Bay aioli for $16, fish tacos with pineapple salsa and lime crema for $14, fried chicken sandwich for $13, barbecue brisket sliders for $14 and a lobster roll for $19. For sides, options include a basket of french fries for $5, garlic truffle fries for $9, potato chips for $3, potato salad for $4 and a dessert option of banana puddling for $8.
