A new 7-Eleven is coming to Myrtle Beach soon.

A sign announcing the convenience store’s future location was put up next to the Bojangles at 8215 North Kings Highway.

Minimal construction has been completed so far, so it could be some time before it’s complete. The planned 7-Eleven generated controversy in 2021, as members of the nearby Grande Dunes neighborhood community filed a lawsuit to block the project, The Sun News reported in 2021.

The case was dismissed in March, 2022, according to the Horry County 15th Judicial Circuit Public Index.

The new store is not the only new 7-Eleven. Carolina Forest welcomed a new location in July, 2023.
