Another volunteer agency could join the search for missing boater Tyler Doyle if weather conditions are good in the next few days, according to the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources.

Thursday marks three weeks since the disappearance of Doyle, who went missing after duck hunting in a 16-foot jon boat with a friend at the Little River jetties around 4 p.m. on Jan. 26.

SCDNR will continue searching throughout the day but may not travel outside of the jetties after midday due to conditions on the water, according to a Twitter post.

It is not clear if a small craft advisory will be in effect later today, but meteorologists with the National Weather Service in Wilmington reported heavy winds until Saturday.

The department did not release the name of the agency, but said in a Twitter post that the agency may provide search vessels.

This weekend, a prayer vigil is being held for Doyle and his family. Grand Strand Outdoors and Dutchess Discussions are hosting the event Sunday at the T. Craig Campbell Boating Landing in Little River from 4 to 6 p.m., according to a Facebook post.

On Wednesday, the department received assistance from the North Carolina Marine Patrol and divers with Horry County Fire Rescue. Both agencies may help again Thursday.

The Brunswick County, N.C., Sheriff’s Office and the Wisconsin nonprofit Wings of Hope continue to search.

Family, volunteers and North Carolina police departments in Sunset Beach and Holden Beach are checking beaches daily, the SCDNR said.

No foul play is suspected in the Doyle case, the SCDNR said Monday.

The department added that rumors regarding pending criminal charges against Doyle are unfounded.
