Crews with the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources are still searching Monday for the boater who went missing last week when his boat reportedly began taking on water and sinking.
It has been four days since Tyler Doyle, of Loris, was last seen.
Multiple agencies have participated in the search for Doyle, who has been identified by friends and family on Facebook.
State teams, including divers, are working around the weather to find the 23-year-old, according to DNR spokesperson Erin Weeks.
The only other person on the jon boat was rescued from the north jetties, which links the Intracoastal Waterway and the Atlantic Ocean.
Crews with the U.S. Coast Guard suspended their search Friday after about 45 hours and more than 694 miles covered.
Items, including a duck decoy, have washed ashore near Sunset Beach and Ocean Isle Beach, according to a Facebook post by the Surf City Police Department in North Carolina.
Police encourages anyone who sees anything to report it the Horry County Sheriff’s Office, the post continues.
Weeks said it’s typical for the department to assist in searches like this one.
“We have a specialized dive team for drowning victim and evidence recovery,” she added.
Boat crews conducted sonar scans Saturday, according to a Facebook post by the North Myrtle Beach Rescue Squad Water Rescue Team.
Doyle was last seen wearing a camo jacket and khaki pants while duck hunting on a 16-foot jon boat, according to the Coast Guard.
