Charlotte-based boutique to open in former Dress Barn location at Coastal Grand Mall

Women will have another shopping option as a new clothing store prepares to open at Coastal Grand Mall in Myrtle Beach.

Versona, a one-stop-shop for apparel, jewelry and accessories, plans to open in March in the empty store that was previously Dressbarn. Last year, Dressbarn closed all of its 544 locations as part of a corporate plan to transition from brick-and-mortar stores to an online-only business.

“We are excited that Versona, a women’s boutique offering clothing and accessories, is planning to open in March in the former Dress Barn location,” said Coastal Grand Mall Marketing Director Jessica Kirkman.

The Charlotte, North Carolina-based retailer currently has four locations in South Carolina, including one in North Myrtle Beach at the Coastal North Shopping Center.

The opening is a welcome change for the Myrtle Beach area mall that has seen several stores close over the last year, including Charlotte Rusee, Payless Shoe Source, Brookstone and Jungle Fun arcade. MasterCuts, Regis Salon, Fairytale Play, Motherhood Maternity and Litez have also recently closed their doors.
