South Carolina-based rock band added to Myrtle Beach’s Carolina Opry Theater lineup

Crack open those wallets because South Carolina-based group The Marshall Tucker Band is coming to the Myrtle Beach area.

The Grammy-nominated southern rock band is scheduled to perform at The Carolina Opry Theater in Myrtle Beach on Feb. 1 at 7 p.m. The group, who hails from Spartanburg and is currently on tour, hit the music scene in 1973 after releasing their self-titled album.

Since then, the band has released nearly two dozen albums and continues to dazzle audiences with their musical style that’s considered a mixture of rock, blues, jazz, country, soul and bluegrass.

Music-goers can expect to hear classics, including “Can’t You See,” “Heard It in a Love Song” and “Searchin’ for a Rainbow” when the legendary band, led by founding member and lead singer Doug Gray, hits the Myrtle Beach stage.

The Carolina Opry Theater is located at 8901 N. Kings Highway in Myrtle Beach. Tickets are on sale now starting at $59. For more information or to purchase tickets, call 800-843-6779 or visit www.TheCarolinaOpry.com
