New restaurant to be modern version of popular Myrtle Beach area brunch spot

Owners of a popular breakfast and brunch restaurant are building a fourth location, but this version will be unlike any of the other three.

Blueberrys Autograph is a more modern, upscale spin on Blueberry’s Grill, which offers diners Southern comfort food in a quaint atmosphere.

It will be located behind Outback Steakhouse at 1721 Highway 17 N in North Myrtle Beach and is expected to open in the fall.

The new restaurant is being shaped around architecture, water, light, nature, texture and visual storytelling, its website says. The atmosphere will be distinct, and while it will be a sister to the well-known Blueberry’s brand, “it’s never going to feel like its Blueberry’s Grill,” Regional Manager Enea Qevi said.

Qevi said the restaurant will have its own brand.

And while the building’s architecture does not fit with the Southern charm of Blueberry’s, it will remain a breakfast and brunch spot, serving a more elevated version of the food items known to Blueberry’s, Qevi said. A menu for the new spot has not been released.

“(It will have) great food that we have served with a touch that makes it a little different than Blueberry’s Grill,” Qevi said.

Owner Sonny Kasey wanted to locate the new restaurant in the North Myrtle Beach and Little River area, which is where everything started, Qevi said. Kasey opened his first restaurant, Sunny Side Up Grill in Little River, in 2013.

Other Blueberry’s Grill locations are in Myrtle Beach, North Myrtle Beach and Wilmington, North Carolina.
