A popular Grand Strand milkshake restaurant is expanding to new cities and states.

The Crazy Mason Milkshake Bar is opening new locations in Charlotte, North Carolina; Orlando Florida; and Alexandria, Virginia. Local television station WBTW reported that the new restaurants will open by the end of the summer at the latest, and a Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania store will start this fall.

The Crazy Mason Milkshake Bar specializes in dessert-themed milkshakes topped with treats like red velvet cake, cheesecake, waffles, popsicles, bananas, cupcakes, and an assortment of cookies and other sweets as well.

The family-owned milkshake bar first arrived in the Grand Strand in June 2020 when they opened their first location in Myrtle Beach at 810 Billiards & Bowling. However, the store moved and later sued the bowling alley citing violations such as breach of contract and conspiracy. According to South Carolina Public Records, 810 counter sued but both lawsuits were dismissed, and the matter closed.

The Crazy Mason Milkshake Bar has expanded since it first opened in Myrtle Beach. The milkshake bar has locations across the southeastern United States, including stores in North Myrtle Beach, Mount Pleasant and Greenville, South Carolina as well as Wilmington, North Carolina, according to the restaurant’s website.

The Myrtle Beach spot is currently located at 2461 Coastal Grand Circle.
