What’s the best thing about living on the Grand Strand? The beach, you can find me there on my days off, or better yet, don’t find me there on my days off.
Where are you from? Maryland, but I moved here from Miami.
What do miss most about Maryland? My family and the crabs, the crabs suck down here.
Why would you move here from Miami? It was cheaper to live.
What do like least about living on the Grand Strand? The offseason, it’s slow and cold.
What do you do for fun? I have a 2-year-old so we go to the beach and the park, and I do crossfit.
Just in case people don’t know, what is crossfit? We flip big tires. We do a lot of squats. We do burpees.
What’s a burpee? It’s like this. (She demonstrates a move that goes from a pushup to a squat to a jump.) We do a lot of those, too.
And those are fun? They’re kind of like torture, but they blast club music at the place I do crossfit so it’s like going out.
What’s the coolest thing that’s ever happened to you in a bar? One of my regulars bought me a vibrator once.
Was it a male or a female regular? A male. He bought all the female bartenders one that year. He said when I orgasm, I had to say his name.
Did you keep it? Yeah, I did keep it. That guy also did my taxes that year.
And did you say his name? No, of course not.
