Myrtle Beach singer headed to Hollywood after earning American Idol’s golden ticket
A Myrtle Beach singer is headed for Hollywood after a successful audition on the popular singing competition show American Idol.
Isaiah Moro, 20, may be a familiar face to locals who frequent karaoke nights at 810 Bowling. Now, his singing skills are gaining him an even bigger audience. On Monday night’s episode of American Idol, Moro’s audition secured him a golden ticket, which means he will proceed to the next round of the show in Hollywood.
Beyond local fans of Moro’s karaoke, the singer has also gained wide recognition on TikTok. A video of him singing a karaoke rendition of “Creep” by Radiohead garnered more than 10 million views.

Locals gathered at 810 Bowling in Conway for a watch party on Monday to watch Moro’s audition, and they weren’t disappointed. Moro sang “Hemorrhage” by Fuel, and his gravelly vocals gained him praise from the show’s judges, star singers Carrie Underwood, Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie.
Moro’s performance impressed Underwood so much, she jumped out of her chair.
