Updated baseball and softball region standings through April 21
There’s no telling how much of a quality postseason area baseball and softball teams are going to have.
But in terms of quantity, the Grand Strand is going to be well represented when the playoffs begin next week.
With just three days remaining in the regular season, 19 of the area’s 24 teams from the two sports have already punched their ticket to the postseason. Four of the remaining five are all still mathematically eligible, with three of those almost certain to make it.
By comparison, 19 total qualified for the postseason in 2014.
By the end of Wednesday, two more — Georgetown baseball and Carolina Forest softball — could add their names to the list.
