Coaches get called names. Fans throw trash at players. How to watch the CCU vs. App State
A year’s worth of fan bragging rights will be on the line Thursday, Nov. 7, and national television will air the grudge match between the two Carolinas colleges.
Coastal Carolina University and App State University will battle at Brooks Stadium Thursday, Nov. 7, starting at 8 p.m.
The game will air on ESPN, with SportsCenter anchor Matt Barrie co-hosting the show’s 2-3 p.m. show from Conway.
However, there’s still an opportunity to go to the game and catch the action in person.
Tickets are still available for the game. According to CCU’s ticket website, seats are still available behind both the home and away sidelines.
The price range for adult tickets ranges from $38-45, according to the website.
The game represents the newest installment of an ever-blossoming rivalry. It follows the two schools’ 2023 match-up, in which Coastal beat Appalachian State for the first time on the road at Kid Brewer Stadium in Boone, N.C.
App State fans flipped off celebrating CCU players during the game. Mountaineer fans also threw trash and cans at them after the Chants won. The Appalachian State Athletic Department called the incident “unfortunate” after the game.
Meanwhile, Coastal celebrated the win and the unfortunate animosity of App State fans by putting up a photo of the incident next to their offices in the Marrio & Josh Norman Field House.
