Obama talks like a Christian but doesn’t act like one

Re Patricia Kennedy’s April 14 letter, “Democrats are not a disgrace to God and country.”

Kennedy said President Obama is a Christian. She also wrote about Bible untruths. My response is not an opinion, it is a fact.

In a 2008 Christian Today interview, Obama said “I am a Christian, and I am a devout Christian. Accepting Jesus Christ in my life has been a powerful guide for my conduct and my values and my ideals.” Plus, he said Jesus had cleansed him of sin.

That is a good description of what the Bible says about being "Born Again." But as president of the United States, Obama approves and promotes same-sex marriage and abortions.

The following are just a few of the truths - not untruths - of God’s Holy Word, the Bible:

1) Gen 1:27-28 tells us that God created a male and female to be fruitful and multiply.

2) Lev. 18:22-23 tells us that a man is not to have sex with another man.

3) Lev. 20:13 tells us that homosexuality is a detestable act, and at that time such sinners were to be put to death.

You might say that was back in the old day before Jesus Christ was born. You are correct.

So let’s go to the New Testament where Jesus tells us in Romans 1:26-28 that God abandoned men and women for having abnormal sexual relations and were given the penalty they deserved. First Cor 6:9-10 includes homosexuality as one of the sins that will not allow them enter the Kingdom of God.

My point is that Obama has talked the talk - but he hasn’t walked the walk.

He can be misleading our readers, especially our new generation, by saying he is a "Born Again Christian" but approves of same-sex marriage and abortions.
