Trump defender tries to defend candidate, doesn’t defend him well

Re “Trump critics are truly uninformed. Sad. Here’s how they can change that” letter by Jim Skalski.

Mr. Skalski’s response to my letter regarding some of the many weaknesses of “president” Donald Trump clearly missed the points I mentioned. He did not offer an appropriate rebuttal to my assertions of Trump’s dangerous global isolationist positions, nor did he address his outrageous stands on immigration, national security, taxes, or presidential qualifications.

Instead, he questioned my personal voter preferences by assumption, and he pivoted his comments to Trump’s political adversary. He ended his letter with an insulting insinuation: “Shame on us if we do not educate ourselves.”
