Could Myrtle Beach, SC see more snow this week? Here’s what the weather forecast says
Is the Grand Strand going to see more snow this week?
According to the National Weather Service, that answer is no. But, some nearby counties could get up to a tenth of an inch of ice on Wednesday night.
The latest forecast said some areas of northeastern South Carolina and southeastern North Carolina could see freezing rain this week and temperatures drop.
The most likely timing for ice is between Wednesday evening through the night, the National Weather Service in Wilmington, NC said.
The forecast said that coastal areas, such as Myrtle Beach, are least likely to accumulate ice since temperatures are likely to stay warmer near the coast.
On Tuesday, Myrtle Beach has a low of 34 degrees and a high of 52 degrees. Over the weekend, the lows could drop down to below 30 degrees.
Previous reporting shows that Myrtle Beach received a record-breaking amount of snow in the area less than a month ago.
