Going out on New Year’s Eve? Here’s your Myrtle Beach area forecast

The Myrtle Beach-area will have sunny days as we head into a new year — and a new decade.

National Weather Service forecasters in Wilmington, North Carolina, say temperatures will cool down slightly Monday night before warming up again Thursday and Friday. After a few showers Monday, the area will have some “seasonable and dry weather” through Wednesday, the weather service reports.

New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day are expected to be sunny days and clear nights, the NWS reports. Thursday will be partly cloudy ahead of likely rain and a breezy day Friday.

Here are this week’s high and low temperatures, according to the National Weather Service:

  • Monday: High 75; low 45
  • Tuesday: High 61; low 40
  • New Year’s Day: High 56; low 42
  • Thursday: High 61; low 54
  • Friday: High 72; low 57
