Say goodbye to 2019: List of New Year’s Eve party spots in Myrtle Beach area

How are you planning to ring in the new year? What about swinging clubs at Topgolf or getting dressed up Gatsby style?

There are a variety of live music and firework shows and a Southern Times Square on New Year’s Eve in the Myrtle Beach area. Many events require an admission fee or offer packages for couples, while other events are free to the public.

From North Myrtle Beach to Murrells Inlet, here are spots where the parties will be:

House of Blues in the North Myrtle Beach area will have a “dinner and dance” in the restaurant and bar, with live music from Tru Sol and a champagne toast at midnight. Doors open at 8 p.m. ahead of headliner Corey Smith’s performance in the main venue.

LuLu’s “Noon Year’s Eve Celebration” at Barefoot Landing is a family friendly day of face painting, a live band and balloons animals on New Year’s Eve. The event is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., with a beach ball drop at noon of hundreds of beach balls on the LuLu’s beach.

Doubletree by Hilton in Myrtle Beach is offering New Year’s Eve packages, with starting rates at $109 per night from Dec. 26 to Jan. 3, according to a release.

Hard Rock Cafe New Year’s Eve Bash in Myrtle Beach will “rock ‘til the drop” until 2 a.m. with a live band, balloon drop and party favors. The VIP Gold package is $290 per couple, Reserved Silver package is $75 per person and general admission is $25, according to Hard Rock’s website.

Margaritaville at Broadway at the Beach will start the party at 9 p.m. with live entertainment from Paul Grimshaw Band and a margarita toast. The cover charge of $10 is waived with any purchase of retail apparel, according to a release.

Banditos Cantina in Myrtle Beach will host a NYE Great Gatsby Roaring 20s party, according to the restaurant’s Facebook page. The Ocean Boulevard restaurant encourages folks to wear their best Prohibition outfit for a chance to win $100 in house cash. Everyone will get a free champagne toast at midnight, the post states. Tickets range from $10 to $60.

Tin Roof on Ocean Boulevard will host the “biggest NYE party” on the Grand Strand, according to a release from the restaurant. General admission tickets and VIP packages are available for the evening. The event will have live music, a buffet, champagne toast at midnight and a confetti cannon.

Topgolf Myrtle Beach will throw one of its biggest parties of the year on New Year’s, according to its Facebook page. All packages include unlimited game play for up to six guests from from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. during the glow-in-the-dark themed party. Bays for six on the first and second floor are $240 and $420 on the third floor.

Murrells Inlet Marshwalk restaurants will offer live music and drink specials with an inlet view. Wicked Tuna’s NYE Roaring 20s party will have a $1,079 giveaway with Gator 107.9 radio station host Adam, the restaurant’s Facebook said.

Malibu’s Surf Bar and Oz the Experience at Broadway at the Beach are having a 2020 NYE Roaring 20s party that will feature party favors, balloon drop, confetti cannons, giveaways, champagne toast and 2020 souvenirs. There will be live music on Malibu’s Patio at 7 p.m. by Kevin Nichols along with DJ Eyecon in Oz and DJ Gino in Malibu’s. Tickets are on sale now for $25 and can ber purchased by calling 843-444-3500 or by stopping into the clubs.

Fireworks:

Broadway at the Beach’s New Year’s Eve Fireworks Extravaganza will light up the sky over Lake Broadway at 8 p.m.

The Market Common’s Southern Times Square begins at 9 p.m. with live music, food and drink vendors and a ball drop and fireworks at midnight, according to its website.
