Moose family hops CO home’s fence to munch freshly-carved jack-o’-lanterns, video shows
A family of moose boldly helped themselves to a Colorado resident’s freshly-carved jack-o’-lanterns, TikTok video shows.
“Hey! We just carved those last night!!” Meg Hiler wrote on the caption of the video, which she shared to her account Friday, Nov. 1.
The video shows first one and then a second moose popping their front legs over the yard fence and walking right up to the front porch to take a bite out of one of the carved pumpkins as Hiler films from inside.
At some point, a cat comes to investigate the huge animal from the window as it continues munching on the pumpkins. Then the camera pans over just in time to catch another baby moose hopping into the yard to join the “pumpkin tasting party,” as someone called it in the comments.
“Momma moose and her babies were hungry for some jack–o’-lanterns” a description on the video says.
“The way she politely hopped the fence,” someone commented on the video.
“She said, ‘oh, for me??’” Hiler replied.
“P.s. love the way the baby pops over the porch railing too,” another person said, adding it was “cute!”
In a reply to a comment, Hiler says “the same thing happened last year only we woke up and just found the stems left.”
This year Hiler was able to catch the perpetrators in the act, WILX reported.
