If you have an incurable case of wanderlust and just so happen to be looking for a new job, Delta is hiring more than 1,000 flight attendants, the airline announced Monday.

The Atlanta-based airline said the job openings are for 2018 and its seeking dedicated, service-oriented professionals who love to be on-the-go, help others and enjoy variety in their work.

But its highly competitive.

According to a release, 150,000 applicants applied for roughly 1,200 coveted flight attendant jobs at Delta last year.

The company said it reviewed 35,000 video interviews and conducted 6,000 in-person interviews. Fewer than 1 percent of applicants were selected for the positions.

"There's no doubt we hire the best of the best because the caliber of people wanting to work for our great airline is top-notch,” said Allison Ausband, Delta's Senior Vice President – In-Flight Service. “They see that what makes Delta different is our people and the unique culture we share together, and they want to be part of that winning team."

What Delta is looking for in a candidate

Applicants must have a high school degree of GED, the ability to work in the U.S., English fluency and at least be 21 as of Jan. 1, 2018, according to Delta.
