A new traffic pattern will be implemented Aug. 28 along West Perry Road in the Carolina Forest area, Horry County officials said on social media Thursday.

Photos of the new pattern on Horry County Government’s Facebook page show the change will take place on West Perry Road at the intersection of Middle Ridge Avenue.

The post cautions drivers to follow the updated signs and pavement markings “to ensure a smooth transition.”

“We encourage everyone to exercise caution and patience while getting accustomed to the new pattern,” the post said.

In July, officials announced that traffic patterns would change along Myrtle Ridge Drive and Burning Ridge Road the same area as construction work began on roundabouts.

In addition to construction, existing access around the back of CVS will be temporarily closed for utility and road work. Motorists are being directed to the newly-constructed Middle Ridge Avenue to access both Walmart and CVS during the closure.
