Horry County Schools will operate on a two-hour delay Friday due to projected snowy conditions in the morning.

The district noted on its social media platforms that employees are asked to report at their regular time and schools will be staffed to accommodate parents who need to drop off their students earlier due to their work schedules.

Georgetown County Schools also announced a two-hour delay with the same request for employees to report during their normal start time.

Coastal Carolina University will operate on a normal schedule.

The National Weather Service is predicting a cold rain across the Carolinas this evening with chances for snow mostly above the North Carolina line.

Temperatures in Horry County will reach into the low 30 degrees Thursday night going into Friday, and a wintry mix of rain and snow is possible.
