Husband of missing Horry County woman is now a person of interest, police say

The husband of a Horry County woman who went missing in May has now been labeled as a person of interest.

Investigators with the Horry County Police Department have been searching for the woman, Cyrena Anderson, since she was reported missing by her sister on May 19, The Sun News previously reported.

Anderson was last seen with Danny Osborne at their home in the Forestbrook area of Horry County. Osborne had told investigators that Anderson “gathered her belongings” and left their residence in the morning on May 13.

The department in a Facebook post on May 29 stated that her 47-year-old husband had given contradicting information to evidence that investigators had found.

Since May 25, Osborne has been held in North Carolina at the Wilmington Police Department under warrants from Brunswick County for domestic violence protective orders. The charges are unrelated to Anderson’s case, The Sun News previously reported.

Osborne has ties to both Brunswick County and Columbus County in North Carolina, according to a news release from Horry County Police on Thursday.

“Records indicate that Osborne traveled to and spent time in both counties prior to and after Anderson was reported missing,” department spokesperson Ashley Boles said in the statement.

No possibilities have been ruled out, she said.

The police department is asking that if anyone has any knowledge of Anderson’s whereabouts or other information related to the case, they should reach out to investigators at 843-915-8477 (TIPS).
