Two people have been arrested following a car chase through Conway on Tuesday night.

This is at least the fourth vehicle chase involving police to take place in the area in recent months.

The individuals fled an attempted traffic stop, crashing into other vehicles as they attempted to run away, Horry County Police said in a Facebook post. One person was taken to the hospital with injuries related to the crash.

Ninth Avenue at Highway 378 in Conway was briefly closed by Street Crimes and Patrol officers as they conducted a search for the suspects. An Horry County Police Department K9 was also used in the search, according to the department.

The suspects were located in a nearby home, and Ninth Avenue has been reopened.

The Sun News has requested the incident report and arrest warrants associated with the incident.

The high-speed chase is just one of several that have happened.

In February, a stolen U-Haul trailer sparked a chase in Myrtle Beach that later moved into Horry County Police territory.

In May, a driver led Horry County Police on a high-speed chase and tossed more than 25 pounds of drugs out the window. Later that month, four people led Myrtle Beach and Horry County police on a chase in a stolen car and fired at officers with a rifle.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol will investigate Tuesday’s crash. No further information has been made available.

This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
