Here’s what we know about the high-speed chase, shooting through Myrtle Beach

An incident report released Tuesday detailing the recent high-speed chase and shooting through Myrtle Beach this past week gives new details.

A stolen-car had four masked people inside. Riley Jordan Pegram, 17 and Omarion Glass, 20 were arrested while the other two occupants, a 15-year-old girl and a 16-year old girl, were not.

A Horry County Patrol officer was patrolling around George Bishop Parkway and Claypond Road when a lance corporal told officers in the Southern Precinct that Myrtle Beach Police were chasing a stolen vehicle, according to the incident report.

By the time the officers responded, one of the suspects was firing a rifle at Myrtle Beach police officers, according to the report.

Horry County Police took over the chase of the stolen vehicle down North Kings Highway until the suspects tried to make a U-Turn and crashed into a red truck, according to the report.

Officers then held the suspects at gunpoint and made arrests as Emergency Medical Services arrived.

Pegram of Brown Summit, North Carolina, was charged with three counts of attempted murder, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, kidnapping, unlawful possession of a firearm, possession of a stolen vehicle and failure to stop.

Glass of Greensboro, North Carolina, was charged with three counts of attempted murder, possession of a weapon during a violent crime and use of a person under 18 to commit certain crimes.

HCPD has not released information about the 16 and 15-year-old girls.

None of those involved in the incident were suspected to have any drugs in their possession, only firearms.

An officer on the scene of the accident on 67th Avenue North said that one person was injured in the crash and was taken to the hospital. The people in the vehicle fired at officers on Farrow Parkway in Myrtle Beach, the officer said.
