Shawon Shamarion Williams, 19, was arrested on May 29 in Illinois, The Sun News reported. Horry County will charge him with multiple counts of attempted murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

The shooting resulted in 10 people being shot at a dock near Watson Avenue in Little River. There was a ticketed boat party on a Hurricane Fleet vessel that docked at about 9 p.m. As people were exiting, a verbal fight started which allegedly caused the shooting, The Sun News reported.

Brooke Wright, a lawyer representing four victims, said everyone except the friends and family of the party host, Jackie O, were searched for a weapon. This included the teenagers allegedly responsible for the shooting. People also saw the underage men drinking alcohol while on board.
