Arrest made in Little River shooting. More could still be charged.

An arrest has been made in the Little River shooting that took place Memorial Day weekend.

The Horry County Police Department announced the arrest of Shawon Shamarion Williams, 19, and charged him with multiple counts of attempted murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

Williams was taken into custody in Lake County, Ill, and he will be extradited to Horry County, according to law enforcement.

It’s unclear where Sharmarion resides.

In the shooting, a total of 11 people went to the hospital with gunshot wounds, The Sun News reported.

A news release from the police department also said that other individuals could be charged as the investigation continues.
