Coroner identifies woman killed in pedestrian-involved wreck near North Myrtle Beach
A North Carolina woman has been identified by the coroner after she was killed in a crash in Horry County.
Amber Lawson, 32, of Carolina Shores, was walking on Highway 90 in Longs when the crash happened, according to Deputy Coroner Patty Bellamy.
The driver of a Honda Civic was traveling west on Highway 90 near Water Tower Road when they hit Lawson, while she was traveling east around 4:45 a.m., according to South Carolina Highway Patrol Corporal Tyler Tidwell.
The driver was not injured.
The highway agency is investigating.
